Who actually owns each travel eSIM brand?

Travel eSIMs are bought on trust, so it is fair to ask who is behind the brand. We keep one owner field per provider in our own data, and this page prints it. Where the owner is the brand itself, we say so instead of inventing a parent.

Saily is built by Nord Security, the company behind NordVPN, which is why its plans come with an ad blocker and web protection. Ubigi is the consumer brand of Transatel, an NTT-owned operator that also supplies connectivity to carmakers and laptop manufacturers.

Nomad comes from LotusFlare, a telecom software company. aloSIM is run by the Canadian telecom company Fonus. Jetpac was built by the Singapore telco group Circles, which is the short explanation for its strength across Asia-Pacific.

The rest carry no separate parent in our data: Airalo, Holafly, Maya Mobile, Firsty, Roamless, Instabridge, GigSky, BNESIM and Flexiroam all trade under their own name. Yesim is recorded as Yesim AG, its own Swiss entity rather than a subsidiary.

Ownership tells you who is accountable when something goes wrong, and who has a reputation to lose. It says nothing about speed. A well-funded parent does not buy better coverage, and a self-owned brand like Airalo still has the widest country list of anyone here.

The question people ask next, whose network does the eSIM run on, has no answer per brand. Travel eSIMs roam on local partner networks that differ per destination, and Airalo now discloses that for most of its packs. Look on the plan page, not the company page.

Two limits worth stating. We record the owner as it stands in our data today and update the field when it changes, and we do not publish acquisition dates or spin-off stories we cannot back up.
